The answer to this question is obviously relevant to the amount of usage the glove recieves. A glove that is pulled from the garage twice a year may not need relacing for years, except for the fact that the lacings may dry from storage, and snap. A glove used frequently during the season, or year round, should probably be relaced as often as every other season. This keeps the lacings tight, your pocket consistent, and the feel of the glove will remain unchanged (as hopefully your play also). In addition, the stitchings on the glove will not absorb as much stress as when the lacings start to stetch and loosen up.
From the time it is received, a glove is usually relaced within 2-7 days, and returned via Priority Mail. If the glove needs restitching, then the time frame may run between 7 days to 3 weeks. If you need a Rush job done, please email ahead of time for the scheduling.
The primary method used is US Priority Mail, due to the reliability and quicker cross country delivery, with consideration of cost. However, United Parcel Service shipping is available on request, as well as guaranteed delivery and Overnight shipping, if requested.
This is probably the most frequently asked question of all....and there is no correct answer for what kind of lubricant to use, but how much is an easy answer. Very small to moderate amount should be applied, and then allowed to soak in / dry. If the desire effect is not reached, then apply another very small amount. By applying in layers, you won't run into the "soaking" effect, where the glove feels too heavy because of the excessive oiling. Probably the most highly used type of lubricant would be Neatsfoot, which is a common oil for leather and is sold through this website (click here to view).
Storage of your GloveWhen storing a glove (or any equipment for that matter), make sure the glove
is clean and dry. Cleaning a glove may sound silly, but applying
leather cleaner also protects the glove with a special coating to prevent drying
and break down of the fibers. This is sometimes caused by
Winter seasons in the North, where air becomes very dry in the snowy season,
especially in Basements / Cellars where gloves are often stored.
Also, another idea is to store the glove in a large sealable plastic bag, which
won't allow air within to damage the leather during the off season.
Do Not store near heaters, furnaces, or on top of appliances that may become
warm when in use. Back to Top

When you do decide to purchase a new glove, Congratulations! But remember, no matter how much the new one is "Pre-Broken In", there is always that period of comfort where you may want to rely upon the Old piece of leather you've used for years. Most players keep the old glove as a back-up, or hand it down to children, younger siblings, etc. If, for any reason, you wish to give up your old glove for whatever reason, please email us -- we purchase old gloves for reconditioning.
